Vilambha Vivah Dosha Parihara Poojah in Sri Rangapatna
Kadhali Vivah, Kumbha Vivaha & Arkha Vivaha

Vilambha Vivah Dosha is a belief in Hindu astrology that refers to the delay or obstacles in getting married or finding a suitable partner. Parihara Poojah refers to the worship or rituals performed to mitigate or nullify the effects of such doshas.

There are various Parihara Poojas that can be performed to overcome Vilambha Vivah Dosha. Some of them are:
  • Kadhali Vivah: This is a type of Vivah that involves the bride and groom being represented by two bananas or plantain stems. The stems are tied together with a sacred thread and rituals are performed to signify a marriage between them. It is believed that performing this Vivah helps in removing obstacles and delays in getting married
  • Kumbha Vivaha: As I mentioned earlier, this is a type of Vivah where a clay pot and a coconut are used to represent the bride and groom respectively. The pot and the coconut are tied together with a sacred thread and rituals are performed to signify a marriage between them. This Vivah is believed to help in overcoming Vilambha Vivah Dosha.
  • Arkha Vivaha: This is another type of Vivah that is performed using two pieces of wood. The pieces of wood are carved to represent the bride and groom, and rituals are performed to signify a marriage between them. It is believed that performing this Vivah helps in overcoming obstacles in marriage.
It is important to note that while these Vivahas are performed with the belief that they will help in overcoming Vilambha Vivah Dosha, their effectiveness may vary from person to person. It is always advisable to consult a qualified astrologer or priest before performing any such rituals.
